Post-Pandemic Trend of Plant-Based Diet

After three years, the Covid-19 pandemic is no longer a threat. In addition to the grief it created, the pandemic ended up teaching us lessons. Growing awareness of a healthy lifestyle, which includes using a balanced food, is one of the lessons. According to the survey results of Kerry Indonesia, a food ingredient company with headquarters in Ireland, there are three categories of reasons why someone chooses to consume healthy food: for physical health, for the health of the planet and the environment, and for dietary reasons. The consumption of plant-based diet is one example of a healthy diet that is currently in style. Healthy food is becoming increasingly important in modern society. There are various healthy eating movements that regulate the types of foods that must be consumed and those that must be avoided, as well as how to control the frequency and timing of eating.

Tren Makanan Nabati Pascapandemi

TIGA tahun pandemi covid-19, selain memilukan, rupanya membawa hikmah.

VoC Delta Invasion to Kudus and Bangkalan

The Covid-19 variant from India invaded by riding on our recklessness. As a result, Indonesia's Covid-19 positive patients suddenly jumped dramatically, starting from Kudus. According to reports, the reason for the incident was that locals observed the bakdo kupat or Lebaran ketupat ritual seven days after Eid al-Fitr without much fervor. They congregated, swarmed, and visited one another. The Covid-19 delta variation propagated among the locals from there. So, the case of transmission exploded in the city center of kretek cigarettes. The number of patients in hospitals increased, and the death toll rose. The results of the whole genome sequencing (WGS) analysis, which were released by Siti Nadia Tarmizi, director of prevention and control of direct infectious diseases at the Ministry of Health, confirmed this rise. She said that 28 of the 34 Kudus specimens that were analyzed tested positive for the delta variation.

Beware of Obesity during Transition to Endemic

Nearly two months have been over since Lebaran's long holiday passed without any significant upheaval. This makes many parties optimistic that the Covid-19 pandemic is transitioning to endemic. The wheels of the economy are shifting rapidly again: stations, airports, terminals, ports, hotels, shopping centers, restaurants, cafes, markets and stalls are back to full capacity. After two years of being confined at home due to the pandemic, the long Eid holiday also means it's time to travel with family and enjoy a range of culinary delights, as if exacting revenge. It is safe to say that the prospect of a third Covid explosion has passed. There are, however, other potential dangers. Overindulgence in dining out without restraint can result in overweight or obesity, which can be fatal.
